The Dominican Film Festival in New York is pleased to introduce a 5-day instructional film production workshop as part of its official program in which students from ages 8 plus, will work hands-on hands with standard digital cameras to learn the fundaments in producing, directing, editing films. Children will taught all the fundamentals of film production, emphasising creativity and team work, This workshop will offer an opportunity to students learn the process of filmmaking and to be exposed to the many different aspects of filmmaking to help them to become well-rounded filmmakers and able to analyses films from a different point of view The workshop will consist on the following aspects:
Hands-on classes in directing
Hands- on working with the camera, to learn about cinematography
Hands-on writing, editing, and technical aspects of filmmaking
In addition, students will write, directs, and edits a short film at the end of the workshop. The short will be shot with a digital camera and they all collectively will be Director, Producer, Editor, Production Manager and Assistant Producer. The student will learn how to work collectively in the facets of filmmaking.
