This talk will provide an overview and checklist of what writers, producers and directors should do to protect their films. At every stage of production, from screenwriting to distribution, there are recommendations on what filmmakers should do to protect their work and properties, get it distributed and avoid legal issues.
Our featured guest, Danny Jiminian (Jiminian Law PLLC), is a business, entertainment and intellectual property attorney. In this role, he provides legal counsel to entrepreneurs, business owners, artists, athletes, actors, fashion designers, writers, publishers, filmmakers and musicians regarding the various legal issues that confront businesses, nonprofits and creative organizations, including the creation, protection, and licensing of intellectual property, employment issues, contract drafting and negotiations, technology development, business and corporate matters, and litigation.
