Yvette Marichal is Film Commissioner of the Dominican Republic (DGCINE), and has first-hand experience with the growth and development of the film industry in the country. She graduated in Communication Arts and later obtained a master’s in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University. Since then she has worked as a magazine editor and on a series of television shows as both a presenter and producer. She also served as the Dominican Republic’s Global Film Festival’s Creative & Communications Director until 2014, when she was appointed to her current position.
